Terms

The short version.

  • Eden is a closed beta. It will have bugs, and Eve will sometimes be wrong.
  • What you put in stays yours. We take no licence to it.
  • Eve cannot do anything consequential without your approval.
  • It is free right now, and there is nothing to cancel.

1. The agreement

These terms cover your use of Eden — the app, the agent it gives you, and this site. Using Eden means you accept them. If you do not, do not use it. Eden is operated from Seattle, Washington; reach us at hello@evebyeden.ai.

2. It is a beta

Eden is early and invite-only. Features will change or disappear, and there may be interruptions. Do not rely on Eden as the only place something important is written down.

3. Your account

You need an invitation, an account, and a device that can hold a passkey. You are sixteen or older. Keep your device and your passkey to yourself — anyone holding them can approve things as you.

4. What Eve may do on your behalf

Eve acts within limits that are decided in plain code, not by the model. Ordinary things — remembering, reminding, answering another member’s agent about your availability — happen on their own. Anything consequential, including connecting an account to Eden, requires your explicit approval, and the most sensitive of those require a fresh passkey confirmation every time.

The corollary: what you approve is yours. Eve can misread a situation. Read what you are approving.

Eden holds read-only access to connected accounts. It cannot send email, create calendar events, spend money, or sign you up for anything.

5. Your content stays yours

You keep everything you put into Eden. We take no licence to use, publish, sublicense or sell it, and we do not train models on it. We process it only to operate Eden for you, as described in the privacy policy.

Content you put into a shared space is visible to that space’s members. That is the point of a space, and it is not undone by deleting your account.

6. What you agree not to do

7. Money

Eden is free during the beta. There is no subscription, nothing to cancel, and no payment details on file. If that changes we will tell you before it does, and you will not be charged for anything without agreeing to it first.

8. Ending it

You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account; see the privacy policy for what happens then. We may suspend an account that is breaking section 6 or putting other people at risk, and we will say why.

9. No warranty

Eden is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be available, correct, or fit for a particular purpose. Agents produce output that can be wrong.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Eden is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for anything arising from an action you approved. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes

We will post changes here and, when they matter, tell you in the app before they take effect.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, and disputes belong to the courts in King County, Washington.
